Hello, I am Emma
I am a project manager, a parent, and an expat living in Berlin, Germany.
A few years back I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of life overseas.
How It All Began
Moving to Germany wasn't in our long-term plan. Like many expat moves, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more significant.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday chores felt more challenging than they ought to be.
The Adaptation Phase
There was culture shock, doubt, and plenty of learning through hands-on experience. Gradually, routines took shape. We found places that fit our needs, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt secure.
What Led Me to Create Okapun Efewi Ufo Kux
Most information online fell into corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What was lacking was a candid, everyday family perspective.
This site aims to bridge that gap — practical advice grounded in real life in Germany.
What This Site Covers (And What It Doesn't)
This site is:
- Hands-on experience from living in Germany
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever something truly changes
This site isn't:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- Not a sponsored review platform
- Not a generic travel blog
Moving Forward
Our time in Germany continues, and the learning journey goes on. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll keep recording what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Berlin or anywhere in Germany, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Best regards,
Emma
